Islam Discriminates against Women?

If there appears to be any discrimination practiced among
women among Muslims nowadays, then it is not because of
Islam, but because of the local cultures, whether Arab
culture, Pakistani culture, or any other culture.
Unfortunately, when Islam departed from our minds as a
reference, this left a cultural vacuum, and the local
cultures filled the void. And because of the decline in
our understanding of Islam, and of the difference between
Islamic culture and between these local cultures, many of
these local cultures became mixed with Islam in our minds,
and nowadays, these cultural practices and customs are
presented ''in the name of Islam.'' Therefore, it is not
the fault of Islam that women are discriminated against or
persecuted in the Muslim world; rather, it is because of
these local cultures, whether they are ''in the name of
Islam'' or under any other name. And the burden is upon us
to clarify our thinking so that we understand the
difference between Islam on the one hand, and local
cultures on the other.

މީހުން ޝައުގުވެރި ކުރުވި އަސްލު ސަބަބެއް ކަމަށް
ބެލެވެނީ މިމަރުގެ މައްސަލަ "ވެރިކަމާއި" ގުޅުން ހުރެދާނެ
ކަމަށް ބަޔަކު ފެތުރިއަޑެވެ. މިހެން ދަންނަވަން
ޖެހޭސަބަބަކީ ގަތުލުގެ ދެ ޙާދިސާއެއް މިހާރު ރާއްޖޭގައި
ފެންމަތިވެގެން އުޅޭއިރު އެންމެންގެ ސަމާލުކަމަން އެއް
ޙާދިސައަކަށް ލިބޭތީއެވެ. މީގެ އަހަރެއް ކުރީން ޤުނޫތު
މައްސަލާއާއި މެދު މީހުން ޝައުގުވެރިކަން އުފެދުނީ
މީހުންނަށް އެފަދަ މަޢްލޫއެއްގައި ބަހުސްކުރުމަށް ބޭނުންވާ
ޙަދީޘް ޢިލްމު އެނގޭތީ ހެއްޔެވެ. ނުވަތަ ގުނޫތާއި
ގުޅުވައިގެން ބަޔަކު ފެތުރި އަޑެއްގެ ސަބަބުން
ހެއްޔެވެ....
